I really like the texture of it..
From a thumbnail view the hand kinda looked like it was behind a window or something.. I don't know. Very nice

yeah.
these hands have a protective meaning in the med and beyond; like eyes, they divert evil. here's a pola i took in jordan last summer that's similar:

That's very interesting. Is it a long tradition? I think of The Godfather movie and the name of the 'mafia' called "the black hand".. Sicilian. All very interesting.

it's an ancient tradition. you find it even in places like india, but it's really big on both sides of the Med. The black hand thing originates from (I think) the 18th century, but you find this hand/anti-evil eye thing in ancient ruins :heart:
