The Modesto Arch, festooned with my hometown's slogan, "Water, Wealth, Contentment, Health"
They had a contest in 1911 to pick a slogan for the town. The fine people of Modesto selected "Nobody's Got Modesto's Goat." The town fathers said "F**K that" and picked the second place slogan instead.

I was there once, and my cell phone didn't work. I ate at a fast-food restaurant right next to that sign, but I can't for the life of me remember what restaurant it was.
