Today I picked 25 lbs of peaches at a nearby orchard. I took this Polaroid while out in the morning light, and immediately fell in love with it. Sometimes you get the shot you want.

pretty light

we have the same light here right now, due to all the fires... it's beautiful, but sadly you can't be outside in it because your eyes start watering up after a few minutes

have you talked to your mom; is it bad in Modesto too?
we got the delta breeze going last night, so today it feels a little bit better... but the last few days have been godawful; over 105 degree heat and the smoke covering the sky like a tight lid making it difficult to breathe (yesterday it was 108 and overcast... but the overcast skies weren't grey, they were orange... it's crazy

)

yes, my mother said it's really bad there, too. they are getting a lot of the big sur smoke as well as the smoke in the valley and foothills. since i lived in santa barbara for 8 years and chico for 4, i've been watching the gap and paradise fires closely. it's so sad to see the fire season starting so soon this year
