Description
In Fort Worth, Texas, there is one of the most beautiful and well-curated modern art museums in the world. [link] One of the pieces they have in their collection is Anselm Kiefer's Buch mit Flügeln . Some months ago I went to the museum and took this photo using my Praktica FX and some Classic Pan 400 film. It depicts a portion of Kiefer's stunning installation. All of the distressing that you see here is due to my print, which has purposeful drips and scratches. This is a product of the darkroom. I wanted this photo to be imperfect, in contrast to the assumption of divine perfection that shines through Kiefer's piece.

There was an exhibiton of Kiefer's work here in Montreal a few years ago. I was blown away. This is a beautiful tribute, very fitting.
